Heeyo is the friend I always wished for. As an only child in China, I loved inventing things, like my "homework pen" made of five gel pens glued together so I only needed to write once for handwriting homework. I longed to share all my inventions and get guidance, but it was challenging. My parents were supportive but doesn't know how to coach in inventing. I asked teachers but they complained that I made a mess and said as a girl I should be neat.

Xiaoyin Qu is the founder and CEO of Heeyo. Prior to Heeyo, Xiaoyin Qu founded Run The World, a leader in virtual events software and was awarded Inc's Top 100 Female Founder and Fast Company's Most Innovative Company in events. She was a Stanford MBA dropout. She co-founded Stoooges Education, a leading College Admissions Consulting firm in China when she was 19.
